a startup idea shared by

Problem Somebody would like to attend a sporting event (professional, minor leagues, college, etc) within a certain geographic area, but it is hard to figure out what is going on even if you are a local. I have yet to find an easy to use, comprehensive site for this. Solution SportsLocated.com users can search by single or multiple locations and define radius, date range, sport, level, mens/womens, etc. A database of geo-coded stadiums linked to game schedules would be used to look up results. There would also be a mobile version using location based technology. This could also work to help people plan sports road trips or to follow certain teams around the country. • "Can't make it to the game" option: - Sports bars/restaurants - Tv - Online - Radio - etc • A social option: o Find people to attend the event with or to meet somewhere o Car pooling o Couch surfing o Travel companion o Local knowledge or guide o Tailgating • Possible advertising/partnership possibilities: o Game tickets o Hotels o Flights o Local deals o Transportation – buses/taxi o Bars/restaurants o Merchandise o Fitness options o Package deals
