Which music genre to listen to now?

In case your music taste is broad enough, sometimes it's hard to choose not only artist or song to listen to but even the whole genre. I imagine this service as a small website with optional authorization via Last.fm. Answer might be based on user's Last.fm library or manually submitted preferences – as well as just plain random. Youtube, Last.fm and Wikipedia data would be useful additions to result page.

I am not sure I got the difference between Last.fm and your idea. Can you ellaborate?

Last.fm suggests music similar to your chosen tag or artist and doesn't help when you've got no idea what to listen at all. I often open my music collection which ranges from Madonna to Johann Sebastian Bach to Tiamat and find it difficult to choose. Besides there's a plenty of genres and subgenres yet to discover.

have you tried pandora.com, its may only be a service available in the US but i think its exactly what you are describing
