how about adding crowd-sourcing option which helps people to do things before they die

This was made popular by the movie 'The Bucket List' and there are various websites that already do this if you google online bucket list for example.. good idea though - would have been great to have launched at the same time as the movie.

So what would make this site better than the existing sites?

Surf the trend, make it a pinterest-like site where each item comes with an image, and where people can add to their bucketlist in a click, see what their friends from Facebook, Twitter and G+ have on their list, search by topic...

Generating incomes is actually not that hard with this idea.
You can let businesses sponsor some item either locally or globally.
For example, for the item "Driving a Porsche", a race track or a driving school could sponsor this item for people in the same state, bringing them hyper targeted traffic and potential clients.

You got the Idea! Also the users page can be customizable, so each person can have this like a kind of a blog, like with custom colors, background, picuture, brings like a tumblr thing like a diary with things you want to achieve. Friends can say, hey you did it, and then you receive notifications that you can confirm it and check-list. Friends can suggest things and you can easily copy itens from other people to your list, why not add badges in the future to make users proud when they achieve and complete tasks and goals? The marketplace gives companies a chance to market their products with people who already said that want to do something they have to offer, the company can also offer discounts specially for users who are using this tool.

May be we can create fb application for this. Because people just don't have time to go to other sites for social interaction.
